Communications
Communications Division is manned by a minimum of two full time police officers; one lieutenant and one patrol officer. When manpower allows, there are three officers assigned to communications. Their duties include, but are not limited, to:

• Receiving complaints via enhanced 911, telephone, and walk-ups
• Unit dispatch
• Computer Aided Dispatch and voice
• Operation of New York State NYSPIN terminal
• Monitor the alarm system
• Book prisoners
• Check cell block
• Maintain building security
• Give DWI breath tests
• Maintain telephone voice recorder
• Review all police reports
• Enter data into the department RMS
