The
Town of Lockport is centrally located in the Western New York/Southern
Ontario region. Part of a metropolitan area of over 1.2 million
people, it's the fastest growing town in upstate New York. Lockport
is a town which has planned for and channeled its growth productively.
The Niagara Frontier, traditionally a major center for industry and commerce, has become significant for its range of moderate to light and research-oriented manufacturing as well as heavy industrial. To enhance our status, from its inception, the U.S. and Canadian Free Trade Agreement has produced a significant impact on our local business economy.
Its total economic benefits to the Western New York region will continue to be realized well into the twenty-first century.
The State University of New York at Buffalo has positioned itself as a global institution for research and development in medical, manufacturing, and industrial technology.
The Town of Lockport puts you right in the heart of it all. We're situated within 500 miles of 55% of the American population and 55% of its manufacturing activity.
In
addition, we have access to 62% of the Canadian population
and 80% of its manufacturing activity.
