Household Hazardous Waste & Paper Shredding Dropoff
Niagara County and the Town of Lockport are teaming up to host a combination of household hazardous waste and paper shredding event on Saturday, September 23, from 9 am to 12 pm at the Highway Garage located at 6560 Dysinger Road.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS ALLOWED FOR HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE portion that will be available until September 22.
Household Hazardous Waste:
- Residents are encouraged to bring paint and unwanted cleaners, chemical and automotive fluids to the event.
- Simply go to www.rethinkyourwaste.com/events and scroll down to the Town of Lockport event. (There is a list of items that will be accepted posted on that site)
Shredding: (Pre-registration is NOT required if only bringing shredding)
- Bring any confidential paper items you would like shredded
- Limit 10 bags, boxes, or totes per residence
- Please remove binder clips and any metal items such as hanging file folders (they clog up the equipment)
- Your items will be put in the shredder on site
