Household Hazardous Waste Dropoff & Paper Shredding Event

Niagara County and the Town of Lockport are teaming up to host a combination of household hazardous waste and paper shredding event on Saturday, May 10, from 9 am to 12 pm at the Highway Garage located at 6560 Dysinger Road.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS NEEDED FOR HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE-will be available April 10: 

Household Hazardous Waste:

• Residents are encouraged to bring paint and unwanted cleaners, chemical and automotive fluids to the event.
• Simply go to www.rethinkyourwaste.com/events and scroll down to the Town of Lockport event. (There is a list of items that will be accepted posted on that site)

PRE-REGISTRATION IS NOT NEEDED FOR PAPER SHREDDING:

Shredding:

• Bring any confidential paper items you would like shredded
• Limit of 10 bags, boxes or totes per residence
• Please remove binder clips and any metal items such as hanging file folders as they clog up the equipment
• Your items will be put in the shredder on site
