Town Court

The Town of Lockport operates the Town Court as a component of the New York State Unified Court System. These courts have broad jurisdiction and they hear both civil and criminal matters. The Lockport Town Court is staffed by 2 part time Justices and support staff.

Please note that due to COVID select trials and hearings are adjudicated through varying combinations of mail, virtual and in person processes. Contact the Town Court at 716-439-9528 for further information.

Vehicle and Traffic Court
Vehicle and Traffic Court is being conducted through the mail. In person trial dates can be requested. The court will inform you of your Court date.

Civil/Small Claims Court
Third Wednesday of each month at 9am. Small claims scheduled for 10:00am.

Criminal Court
First and Third Tuesdays of each month, 9am – 12pm. Hearings at 1pm.
First, Second and Third Thursday of each month, 9am – 12pm. Hearings at 1pm.

If the date you are scheduled for Court falls on a holiday, call ahead to check date.

The telephone will not be answered when Court is in session.

No cell phones permitted in Court.

The Court no longer holds evening sessions. The Court office will be open daily from 8am – 4pm except legal holidays.
